The Medical Student Council uses the protocol system M3now!
Here, memory protocols from previous oral examinations are stored so that future cohorts can better prepare for the exam situation.
The protocol system depends on your reliability: it is important that after exams, high-quality and informative protocols are uploaded as quickly as possible, so that other students can benefit from them.
The Alumni and Student Association of Aachen Medical Students, FdMsA e.V., supports the Medical Student Council in managing finances.
The protocol system works as follows:
- Register for the protocol system.
- You donate €25 to the bank account of FdMsA e.V. provided via email (please enter only your name as the payment reference).
- Activation takes place within 2 weeks (in accordance with the terms of use :)).
- Protocols from up to four examiners can be accessed.
- Protocols from your own examinations are uploaded to the system online within four weeks.
- As compensation for the effort, you will receive €25 transferred back to the bank account provided during registration.
Note
The protocol system is exclusively for protocols from the oral final examination (third state examination after the Practical Year). Therefore, registering before the end of the Practical Year is not useful, as you will not find any protocols for OSPE exams (3rd–6th semester) or the Basic Medical Examination (end of 6th semester) there!

I did not receive a confirmation email!
Please check your spam folder, as it may have ended up there. If no email arrives within one hour, it is very likely that you entered your email address incorrectly.
Why have I not yet been granted access to the protocol system?
Once you have transferred the payment, you will usually be activated within one week. However, since the responsible Deputy Finance Officer may also be in exam stress or on vacation, it may take longer in exceptional cases. A friendly email to protokolle@fsmed-aachen.de will usually help.
Please note that banks also have processing times — therefore, it makes no sense to send an email after just two days.
On that note: phone calls to the student council are generally not helpful, as only the finance officers have access to the account and the protocol system.
I am receiving an error message!
Please send an email with a detailed description (when does the error occur? what was done? is it reproducible?) and the error message to protokolle@fsmed-aachen.de.
I forgot my password!
Please use the “forgot password” function on m3now.de.
Why have I not yet received my reimbursement?
The money will be transferred once you have uploaded your protocols into the system. In individual cases, this may take up to four weeks.
Why do I have to provide my full name / email address / bank details?
While it would be extremely convenient, unfortunately none of us can read minds. Without your correct name, we cannot assign your transfer; without a valid email address, you will not receive information about the transfer or activation of your account; and without bank details, we cannot refund your reimbursement.
Why can I only register 3 months before my exam?
Why do I have to transfer payment within 7 days?
Why do I have to upload my protocols within 4 weeks?
To prevent “inactive accounts” in the protocol system, users who are inactive for a certain period are filtered out — the responsible finance officer then no longer has access and cannot activate them or process refunds.
In general: anyone who does not transfer within one week or does not upload protocols within three months after payment is considered inactive. It is therefore in your own interest to register shortly before use, transfer quickly, and upload your protocols promptly.
Future examinees are also meant to benefit from them as quickly as possible!
